Moosescot

Since I'm doing laundry now would be a good time to introduce our Moosescot.

We really need to hope on that wayback machine again to properly tell the story of our Moosescot.

In 2003 I proposed to Jen.  I had talked her into a camping trip around Lake Superior for vacation.  My Grandma, Aunt, Uncle and Cousin lived there so we visited often.  I had always loved Canal Park and the Aerial Lift Bridge.  Plus driving in on the interstate you crest a hill and the entire harbor is in view.  At night it is all lit up and is an amazing view.  When I decided I wanted to ask Jen to marry me, this is where I wanted to do it.  I wanted to share those memories with her.

So after a horse drawn carriage ride, with the lift bridge in the background I proposed.

We continued our trip around Lake Superior.  It truly was a great trip.  Since I had done this trip with my parents when I was a kid I shared with her my memories.   The night before we crossed back into the States we stayed at a campground in Pancake Bay.  I had been telling her about moose I had seen as a kid and she wanted to see one in the worst way.  So after dark we set out in search of one.   We drove for hours.  We finally gave up about 1 am.  Sadly we never saw a moose.

Fast forward to now and we were in the girls favorite gift shop, Posey and Jetts.  They sell Warmies which are stuffed animals that you heat up and it releases a lavender fragrance and it retains heat for a bit.  Libby is obsessed with them.   She found a moose and insisted we needed one for our trip.

I of course told her no as I wanted to surprise the girls as I thought it was a great idea.  Heidi really wanted to get it for us so she gifted it to us the night before we left.

Please meet Jen our Moosescot!
