Day 32- Kasilof

Another late wake up.  Getting to be a trend.

It started raining overnight and it continued through out the day.   

Patrick was taking getting sounded pretty hard.  He messaged about 11 asking if we wanted to go again today.  I was down but needed to check with everyone else.   

Unfortunately non of the girls wanted to go.  I didn't want them to just sit in the camper all day though, but really nothing to do since it was raining. Kelly did tell us of an indoor pool and everyone wanted to go.  I told Heidi she should go out with Patrick and I'd entertain the girls.  

We finally left about 1:30.  When we were there the pool was at capacity.  made sense for being a Saturday and raining.  We had to wait about 40 minutes before we were able to get in.  It was a very nice facility.  A kiddy area with a mushroom water feature.  A main area with lap lanes roped off.  A diving board and a single water slide.  They even had a hot tub.  The water was also heated which was really nice.  We swam for about an hour and a half before we decided we had enough.  

Heidi and Patrick were still out fishing when we got back about 5:30.  We had talked about a fish fry but the girls were not interested.  They decided to fend for themselves.  I decided to grab a pole and head to the river which was just a mile or so up the road to try my hand.  I again had no luck.  Heidi and Patrick did a lot better.  While they didn't hit them hard they did come home with 3.  Apparently Heidi had a very large red on the line but it got off just before she could get it in the net.  She was happy to get some fish on the line though. 

It was too late for a fish fry so we worked out a plan to definitely have a fish dinner for tomorrow while still getting tome time in on the river.  We are a week or two early but I'm still hoping to hit it big.  I have some Bass Pro rewards that should pay for a basic rod and reel and there just happens to be a store in Anchorage so might stop in and get one.  We will be in Valdez for a few days and should be prime time when we get there.

Since the girls ate and we were not having a fish dinner Heidi and I went out for a quick date. We ended up at a bar and grill called The Catch.  It was really good food.  It was quiet so we could hear each other talk.  I think we were both tired so not a lot of talking though, not like on our normal dates.   That's ok though. It was nice to have some time, just the two of us.
